Time has past so fast.. since my last post, a lot of events have happened. My convocation ceremony, convocation ball, sch and hall foc (and i have no time to attend them, a bit regret..) and i am still busy mugging for my exam (a certification exam offered by my company) After one month of academy training, i am finally assigned to work under a department. Life is tough there, job is manual and mundane. However its a good start to knowing the operations of the department. Hope i am able to meet everyone's expectations of a graduate trainee. Taken lots of pics, esp during the hall convo shoot as well as convo ball. So happy to have my sister and mum attending my convo ball. Apologise that i didn't spend much time with them that day, was busy taking pictures with friends, i know she felt neglected. I must really comment on the convocation thingy. Mine was assigned to be an evening event, right after the ceremony, everyone was like rushing for food and going off for dinner. There was not many who stayed behind to take pictures. A bit sad that i couldn't take as many pics as i want, however a guy shouldn't care so much about capturing the moment right? Should move on quickly over these kinda moments and concentrate on bigger stuff. By the time convo ceremony ended, it was like 8pm + everyone was off for dinner. Had dinner at a nearby coffeeshop and saw my cousin huiru.. who is marrying this october. A long and tiring day, but thanks to my 2nd uncle, who lended me his Honda Stream, if not it would have been a long and even tiring day without the transport. Thanks Uncle !

Its my 3rd week since i started work. I would say that I really liked my time here so far. The snr mgmt all made us feel so welcome. The training program was really well structured. Most importantly, the other trainees (both new-joiners and Lao-jiaos) all made me feel so at home. Made a gd bunch of new joiners within the same Ops dept. Today marks the end of our first phase of training as we were presented with our certificate. On top of that, I was being dropped a bombshell. My boss told me I would be assigned to this volume sensitive dept which require me to work long long hrs. Although the hrs are not as long as an audit job, a role within that dept represents one of the worst hours a staff within my org could have work. Looking on the bright side, it would be good for my long term development if i started working at this "Siong" dept 1st. Hope my experience (which starts next tues) will be a good one. One that wouldn't hinder my chance of shining within the organization. I hope i can persevere thrg and attain the role that i sought after within the org.. all i need is patience, and to keep reminding myself there is no shortcut to success. Its easy to be among the best, but to stay for long up there we need a good solid foundation !
Today on a rare occasion, I allowed my dear minmin to decide on what to do at night after our dinner. Since it was a friday night, minmin decided to watch movie and spend some additional precious time tgt. But after buying the 1140pm ticket, she realised that she was a bit tired, and that the taxi charges to bring us home after the movie would cost a hefty $70 for the 2 of us. I kept laughing at her when she got all stressed up. Coz she finally understand all the calculations and planning i have to do everything we go out. Cost, timing, convenience, fatigue level.. (no worries, i still enjoy planning gg out with u minmin) After which, i did the unthinkable, i tried selling our tickets away on the spot. To whoever is walking towards the queue. Due to my superb sales, i managed to sell away our tickets at the 2nd try, for the amt, without any discounts... Decided to jot it down becoz I felt that not all couples go thrg such interesting things, especially it was a potentially stressful situation.. I want to jot down all the interesting things that me and min min go thrg. Becoz my work load is slowly increasing, and the time we meet will slowly decrease proportionately, and maybe at that time when meetings are so rare, these interesting memories will come in handy.. Yipee!! 2nd last day in NZ le.. tmr is my last day in NZ, visiting Willowbank National park to look at Kiwis and will be visiting the Maori village as well.. internet is costly here, so will cut my entry short. My friend Augi is already missing home already, its the first time that he is so far away from home. I miss the spore food, and of coz my dear sis and mum.. Got buy stuff for you guys so must anticipate my return k? I'm doing well here, temp sometimes go down to 2 to 5 degrees, but i brought enough clothes so dun worry. Tmr night time gg to fly back to Melbourne for 2 days of shopping and sightseeing, b4 heading to adelaide, a peaceful town and the perfect place to nua ! Meanwhile mum and sis, im all right and safe, you 2 take care when i'm away k ? miss ya.. meanwhile some pics taken in nz.. (a preview)

Hey.. day 2 of my Grad trip. Currently located at kingstreet backpackers in Melbourne. In a few hours time, i am gg to melbourne international airport to take a plane down to christchurch where I will be staying for the next 7 days. Hey sis~ how's everything at home? I am having fun now and so far the trip is safe, so don't worry about me k? Took lots of nice pics and will show u when i get back. Throughout these days i will be msging mum to report my safety so you make sure everything's alright at home k? Not sure if there will be internet access in the other hostels.
Just came back from the Great Ocean Road Drive, the tour guide bernie is a very fun guy and the trip took almost the whole day from 7am to 9pm at night. okie, my allocated internet time is almost up.. will update on the blog again if i have the time. For now, its bed time and preparing for christchurch!! =) I LOVE GRAD TRIP !

Finished the 1st phase of my CFA study. Now whats left is to practise and practise and practise. After one day of self imposed break, i'm gg back to practice yet again. Didn't manage to rest much yesterday either. Went to Jurong to buy winter clothings and had Ajisen for dinner. Tied up some stuff with regards to our grad trip. Our grad trip is coming in ten days, and CFA exam coming in 8 days, having mixed emotions. Gonna drag myself thrg these few days, then enjoy myself like crazy during the grad trip....

wah!! life has been so exciting after my exams, i have been mugging like 5 different CFA textbooks now. While everyone is gg on their grad trips, coming back and talking abt it.. here i am with minmin, trying to complete whatever books there are for my upcoming CFA exam in june. Nevertheless, like what minmin said, its like the final hurdle, I am down to my last text book to read, and with lots of practises and luck, i will be able to complete my CFA exam on 8th june. After that i tell u, it will be havoc man..!! Off to my Aus-NZ grad TRIP!! I will definitely play like crazy there after like 2 months of constant exam mugging mode (dates back to my last school semester exams) Jiayou Desmond, Jiayou Minmin! One last Equity textbook to go !!
